Sounds like the title to an exceptionally bad lifetime original movie.
Nonetheless, that is what I've been doing for the past two months. The first couple of weeks were okay because I was heavily medicated and no one asked anything of me. Now.....
I'm back at school. It's a brand new semester with all new projects and I'm still trying to finish up all the work I missed last semester. BUT, Good News abounds - I actually accomplished some work today, so I might be on my way to getting a grip.
*purses lips thoughtfully*
I'll let you know how it goes. Nothing is certain.
So, my first post in however long, and it's kind of whinny....
I can't seem to download the latest epi of SGA, namely Quarantine from iTunes. I've seen it, so I don't really need it, but come on! I want it, anyway. Besides, my sister is counting on me to provide her with a fix, since she can't get the show any other way. Sad, I know. Sometimes, I just lie in bed at night and weep for her sad existence sans Stargate.
*sniffles and wipes tear away*
So, has anyone else had this problem or is it just me-on-crack?
Possibly my computer-on-crack, as it's having trouble doing much of anything lately.
If anyone has any info, send it my way.
Oh, and for anyone looking for a laugh, wraithfodder cooked up a little story for us all using screencaps from Quarantine. No spoilers and no need to have seen the actual show.
Check it out... http://wraithfodder.livejournal.com/157 821.html#cutid1
There are other 'stories' under the parody tag.
:D Thanks and Have a Nice Day!

Alright, so here it is, Tuesday and I'm just barely getting around to posting my review (for lack of a better word) on Doppleganger. I know. Really. I know.
So, the ep...
The word is Wow. Just wow.
This was such an incredible exploration into the characters and what drives them. Fear can be a tremendous motivator or, conversely, completely debilitating. It was fascinating to see this, dare I say it, vulnerable side to these people. Their reactions to the situation, to the predation of what appears as a friend, was marvelous. The fact that they responded to the real Sheppard with such aversion and even repulsion was quite the testament to the pervasive, lingering discontent of their nightmares.
I loved the JT hug. I thought it was really telling that John says he wasn't sure Teyla would want to see him after Kate's death, and that Teyla came to see him. It speaks to their friendship that despite his guilty feelings, John is on his way to comfort her and that regardless of her despair and sense of loss, she knew that John would be blaming himself and so takes steps to assuage his guilt. RCC speaks about this in his Q&A session on JM's blog. A picture truly is worth a thousand words.
I also particularly enjoyed Sam's constant call-backs to her SG-1 days. It was very appropriate and important to say, oh, look, Sam's got ten years of this kind of thing under her belt; she's got lots of experience and she knows how to draw on that to suit the present situation. I just wouldn't buy her sitting around waiting for McKay to save the day.
Oh, and I loved the whale. LOL.
One thing I didn't like was Kate's dream. Her death was completely believable (in the realm of scifi), but I would have liked to see more depth to the dream and EvilShep more actively engaged in Kate's ensuing death. He was definitely a negative presence, but I thought that at this point in the story, he would've been more identifiably and physically sociopathic.
Someone complained on JM's blog that they thought Keller was getting thrown into situations where she didn't belong, specifically where she tells Sam that she gave a good speech. I admit the scene felt a little awkward, but that's due more to a lack of familiarity with the character, than any notion that Keller didn't belong. Of course she belonged there; she's the CMO. It's her job to advise the leadership of Atlantis. Also, bear in mind, Keller is treading new territory here. Meaning, she's in a new position with new leadership in a terrifying situation. I wouldn't expect any great eloquences from her.
Overall, another fantastic episode. Four in a row. Pretty impressive.
Oddly, I'm not particularly looking forward to Travelers. I'm sure it will be good, but there's just something about it that is rubbing me wrong. My first impression is that it will lack interaction with the team, being more of a Shep-centered ep and, let's face it, that's what I'm interested in watching. The team. We'll see. Try to stay positive. ;)
In other news, nominations are still open for the Stargate Music Video Awards 2007, which is awesome, because I'm a slacker and still haven't gotten my nominations in. ~whistles inconspicuously~ Whoops.
Speaking of vids, I'm working on a new one. I'm hoping to get it up by next week. Too late for nominations. I say that so everyone knows I'm not fishing for noms. I'm just hoping that if I say I'll have it up, I'll make the time to get it done. You know how it is. Dare to dream, eh?

So, this is my brand new journal.
Hooray!!!
I started writing fanfiction about 6 months ago, and now I've branched into vidding, which I'm thoroughly enjoying, btw, but my stuff is scattered all over the internet. So, now I've started looking around for the best way to consolidate my online ramblings and pretty pictures and what not.
What I'd really love, is to talk to other people about vidding, fanfiction, the joys of Stargate, or whatever. But, I don't really know how to go about doing that. So, if you've stumbled across this journal and you generously gave me five minutes of your time, I would be unimaginably thrilled and grateful, if you could drop me a word. The thing is, I don't know very much about online communities or computers or anything. Anything, at all. So, please be patient while I figure out how to work with this system.
The most pressing issue - how do I load my videos and fanfiction in this journal? Is that possible or do I have to link to my filefront account?
Please help.
Thanks for stopping by.
